EXPRESS ENTRY INCREASES INTAKE

Breaking recent trends, the Express Entry system increased the number of ITAs issued to 3,000 in the February 7th draw. Since the introduction of the tie-breaking rule in November 2017, each Express Entry draw issued precisely 2,750 ITAs. However, with the February 7th draw issuing 3,000 ITAs, Express Entry candidates can be optimistic that the number of ITAs issued is increasing!

As might be expected with an increased number of ITAs, the minimum CRS-score required to receive an ITA has continued to drop. Though it is impossible to predict how the CRS score will change in the future, if the current trends continue, there is a strong possibility the minimum CRS score cut off will continue to fall in future draws.
